Supporters

The Wallich is supported by various local community groups and we are always excited to hear about anyone that is interested in learning about our work.

Fundraising events can be a great way to spend some of your spare time, whether you are in work, at school or just want to involve your family and friends, and the more imaginative your ideas are, the more money you are likely to raise.

Public donations are the most valuable to us as they allow us to inject money wherever it is needed most. It can also be an opportunity for you to support a specific project – maybe local to you or one that you already have a connection with.

We can provide you with sponsorship forms, posters and other publicity material and if your event is successful enough we will also try to publicise it in the local press. Don't forget you will also feature in our newsletter and on our newspage.

To get you started, here are some ideas……

• A sponsored walk ..swim ..read ..cycle – anything that you can think of!
• Fetes, fayres and coffee mornings are a great way to get the whole community involved – see if your local church can help with the venue
• A quiz night or Trivial Pursuit evening – get those brains in gear!
• Karaoke night
• Non-uniform days

One excellent way to raise awareness of homelessness is to hold a sponsored sleep-out. This involves a group of fundraisers sleeping rough for a night to experience homelessness firsthand and can often create quite a bit of interest! However, this type of event requires careful planning and as your health and safety is paramount we would not advise that you organise a sleep-out without contacting us first.
