Blaenau Gwent Ty Brynhyfryd is a purpose built project owned by United Welsh Housing Association and managed by The Wallich. It consists of five fully furnished self contained flats with communal laundry facilities and a communal living area. This gives residents the opportunity to gain their independence without the risk of becoming isolated. The project aims to provide secure, supported accommodation to individuals who have a history of illicit drug or alcohol misuse and whom have accessed support agencies to address their issues and wish to remain substance free. Ty Brynhyfryd is an independent project catering only for individuals registered as homeless with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. The length of stay in the project is intended to be six months. This is dependant on move on accommodation availability in the area and support from Tenancy Support Services.
