The use of bed and breakfast accommodation to house homeless people is something that most local authorities wish to reduce. Particularly vulnerable are families who will not have adequate room to live comfortably, young people, who may find the experience isolating and single women for whom the experience can often be quite frightening. In partnership with Swansea County Council and Swansea Housing Association The Wallich will provide priority needs homeless people with a safe alternative to B&B living. The Council will allocate suitable properties to be used as temporary accommodation and The Wallich will manage the properties and provide tenancy support.
