As a result of our growth, we often have paid and voluntary opportunities within both our new and established projects.
Volunteers
We anticipate that we will next be recruiting for volunteers in the New Year (2010).
We welcome volunteer applications from people of all cultures, abilities and walks of life, who are over the age of eighteen. You dont need to have any particular skills or experience, just a positive and non-judgemental attitude towards homeless people.
All our volunteer placements are subject to a trial placement, at least two satisfactory references and a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure. Please note that we may wish to contact any individual, previous employer or relevant agency for a reference. Our main priority is always the safety and welfare of the people we support but having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from volunteering. We risk assess all convictions and take into account the number of convictions you have, what they were for and how long ago they happened.
Download the application form here. Once complete then please forward the application to volunteers@thewallich.net.
